Thursday 1st May 2025, 7-8pm remotely
Amanda Keen is a nationally acclaimed Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor who will be running a series of remote sessions for Educational Psychologists in May 2025.
In this session for educational psychologists, Amanda will cover the history of dyscalculia and research, how the UK definition has evolved, how this differs from the DSM-V and how dyscalculia impacts maths learning.
Places are £20 for one session or £50 for all three. Attendees must be qualified EPs or currently on an EP training course.

Amanda Keen is a nationally acclaimed Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor who will be running a series of remote sessions for Educational Psychologists in May 2025.
In this session for educational psychologists, Amanda will explore the principles of assessing for dyscalculia, investigate the criteria for a dyscalculia diagnosis and look at the assessment tools currently available for EPs.
Places are £20 for one session or £50 for all three. Attendees must be qualified EPs or currently on an EP training course.
Session 3: Assessment and Diagnosis

Amanda Keen is a nationally acclaimed Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor who will be running a series of remote sessions for Educational Psychologists in May 2025.
In this session for educational psychologists, Amanda will explore the similarities and differences between dyscalculia and maths anxiety, discuss how to reduce maths anxiety and explore strategies to support dyscalculic learners.
Places are £20 for one session or £50 for all three. Attendees must be qualified EPs or currently on an EP training course.

Amanda Keen is a nationally acclaimed Specialist Dyscalculia Assessor who ran an introductory session for EPs in March 2025.
In this session, Amanda summarised the latest research on dyscalculia, covered key assessment requirements for a diagnosis of dyscalculia, discussed how to distinguish maths anxiety from dyscalculia and signposted attendees to resources and assessment test kits.
